Many movie stars choose to return to the stage. Less opt to do it on You Tube. Saturday night, a cabal of actors belonging to screens both big and small will gather at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles for a one night performance of Dustin Lance Black's “8.” The Academy Award winning screenwriter's play focuses on Perry v. Schwarzenegger, the high-stakes trial concerning gay marriage and the fate of California's Proposition 8.
Familiar faces belonging to the likes of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Martin Sheen will be streamed live across You Tube beginning at 7:45 p.m. PST. This iteration of the legal drama will be directed by filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner, who performed in the play's debut last September at New York City's Eugene O'Neill Theatre, where it also boasted a star-studded cast.
